A little late on the mark, I may be, but I've never been one of those 'cool' people to discover things first. I do know though, that Daisy graduated from Central St Martins in 2009, and she's had a busy two years since then. Daisy's designs have appeared in the likes of Vogue, and she's received critical acclaim from all aspects of the creative industry, including receiving the prestigious Bright Young Gem award soon after graduating. 2010 saw the continuing success of Daisy and her designs, when she was named one of the 'Hot 100' in the jewellery trade publication 'Professional Jeweller'.
With an eclectic mind for inspiration, the designs are a harmonious fusion between rock and roll and the natural environment. This results in styles that are both soft and delicate such as feathers, along with daring, malevolent designs.
Daisy designs a whole wardrobe of jewellery including necklaces, earrings and bracelets, there's even cufflinks for men. They are all so different that it's really hard not to want everything. Daisy currently works in Sterling silver, blackened silver and 22-karat gold vermeil, with those three appearances being the basis for her designs.
In 2010 Daisy's collections became stocked by Net-a-porter and fashion forward celebrities such as Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe have been seen out and about in some of the designs. Sarah Harding was even spotted with the skull ring taking place of her engagement ring!
We can't wait to see what the future holds for such a unique and personal brand.
Perhaps one day I'll be able to add a third ring to my fingers!
